This allows easy, exact measurements for any shaft tip or butt trim markings, or final length markings.

The ruler he has is designed to measure length in accordance to USGA/R&A rules.

This means the soling plate on the ruler is 60° as ruled by the USGA/R&A. The ruler can easily be mounted to your workbench.
